Samaritan Manor is uniquely designed with four distinct “neighborhoods” to encourage a strong sense of community among its residents. Each neighborhood - all named after historic east side Detroit communities is custom designed for your comfort and fellowship. When you enter a neighborhood, you enter into the neighborhood lounge, complete with a fireplace, flat screen TV, and plenty of space to visit with family and friends.

Each neighborhood serves 30 residents and has its own lounge, dining room, serving area, and nurse stations.

Meal time is important. Our chef creates delicious meals that are served in the neighborhood dining rooms by our trained staff. Meals are designed to satisfy our residents’ wishes while staying true to their nutritional needs.

Active Living

Do you like to Shop? Play Checkers? Enjoy Music? We encourage active living through music, field trips, spiritual worship, games and community involvement.

We are housed in the highly respected Samaritan Center on Detroit’s east side. As a result, you can take advantage of the many retail shops and services including an active senior community center without ever leaving the building.
